Inserting a Header Background Image

Images must be uploaded to the Image Manager before attempting to insert them.

Insert a header background image

  1. Go to the 'Website Design - Advanced Setup' page.

  2. Scroll down the page to the 'Header Content' area.

  3. Select an image from the 'Enter the Header Background Image' dropdown.

  4. Select the background position from the 'Enter the Header Background position' dropdown.

  5. Select a 'Background Repeat' from the next option.

Repeat = Tiled image filling the header area.
Repeat-y = Image will repeat top to bottom
Repeat-x = Image will repeat left to right
No Repeat = Image will display once

Note: Selecting 'User Defined' will open up a blank box allowing you add a custom setting. It is only recommended that you use this option if you are competent using CSS coding. Correct CSS code needs to be entered here for this feature to work.

  1. You may need to adjust the height of your header area to accommodate your new background image. Go down to 'Enter the Header Height'.

  2. Enter the height in pixels. Enter this as '000px' (insert your own number in place of the zeros).

  3. Click the submit button to save the changes.

  4. View your web page and refresh it to see the header image you have added.

    Note: Background images can be used alongside header images and header background colours.



Deleting a Header Background Image

  1. Go to the 'Enter the Header Background Image', 'Enter the Header Background position' and 'Background Repeat' and choose 'Please Select...' from the dropdown menu.

  2. Submit your changes.

  3. View your web site and refresh the browser to see the changes.
